In the last decade the growth of controls for food safety, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry and environmental monitoring led to an increasing demand for analysis, and the consequent heavy environmental impact.

The most used sample preparation method for elemental analysis of solid samples is solubilization, converting the sample into liquid using chemicals. This method ensures a good degree of reliability, but it requires the use of hazardous compounds.

After years of experimentation, we have designed a new non-destructive sample preparation system.

Smart Store® reduces the environmental impact (reduction up to 99% of CO2 footprint and Embodied Energy) with respect to microwave mineralization process.

Smart Store®

Sample Preparation - The automatic device standardizes sample handling procedure. The device fixes the material to be tested deposited on a membrane between two sheets of adhesive polymer and cuts it into a disc 30 mm in diameter.

The result is a samples that maintain its properties unchanged over time.

Digital Pack

Classification - The app for android and the online software allow to record and share data and analytical information. Each sample corresponds to a datasheet and a unique QR code for the correspondence between physical material and digital archive.

All information is stored in the cloud, available for the registered users.

Calibration Pack

Calibration - Calibration is the complex procedure needed to determine the algorithm for quantitative analyses of a given sample.

Smart Solutions implements the algorithm for you and integrates it directly into the online software.

Smart Solutions is a spin off company of the University of Brescia founded by 4 researchers from the Chemistry for Technologies Laboratory as Italian innovative startup, affiliated with the National Interuniversity Consortium of Materials Science and Technology.
